DETOUR EXHIBITION IN PARIS 24th April-19th May 2008

Detour arrives in Paris on April 24th. This collective wandering exhibition allows you to discover the Moleskine notebooks made by more than 30 artists, writers, designers and illustrators who are renowned internationally.

After London and New York, where the exhibition met with great success, the next stop is at the boutique Printemps Design at the Centre Pompidou, Paris, before taking the route again to Berlin, Venice, Istanbul…. At each new stop it attracts new artists having a special bond with the city it takes place in.

More importantly, there will be Detour Asia in 2008-2009 and the launch of Hong Kong and Beijing City notebooks in the coming June.

MOLESKINE VENEZIA CITY NOTEBOOK

On November 9th 2007, the Municipality of Venice hosted a press conference for the launching of the new Moleskine Venezia City Notebook, with the presence of the municipal authorities.

Moleskine is involved in Venice’s cultural and economic life by supporting a project in favor of young artists from all over the world, in collaboration with the Municipality of Venice and the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation.

The trademark of the City of Venice designed by Philippe Stack is printed on the paper banderole and a special flyer about the city is placed inside the Venice City notebook.

INVITATION AU VOYAGE EXHIBITION - HONG KONG

Moleskine has always been a favourite notebook of travelers. To celebrate the launch of the new Moleskine City Notebooks, we have invited Asian travelers to join the Invitation au Voyage competition in January 2007.

This travel notebook competition has captured the imagination of the travelers’ community in Asia. We have received more than 100 magnificent notebooks from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and The Philippines. Our most unexpected submission came from Inner Mongolia.

We are proud to showcase these ultimate travel notebooks and hope you will start planning and dreaming of your next trip!

MOLESKINE & CHRIS PATTEN

A full set of Moleskine pocket notebooks was given as a souvenir to Chris Patten, the last Governor of Hong Kong, as well as European commissioner for foreign relations, when he was in the Hong Kong Book Fair 2006 to promote his books “Not quite the diplomat” and “Cousins and strangers”.
